On going is the strike of Silver Star Shuttle and Tours Drivers, Conductors Workers Union that started on May 12. The protest resulted to paralyzing the company operations for three days.

Workers demand for fair and fixed salary that led to the union picketing in front of the main garage of Silver Star bus company in San Pedro, Laguna. The demonstration was done to justify the labor delivered by workers to the company. Furthermore, drivers, conductors, staff, and mechanics insist that the administration should take heed of their rights as workers.
